The LoadMagic.ai Chrome Extension is provided by:

Load Magic LTD acts as a professional trader under EU and UK consumer law.

2 Purpose of the Extension

The sole purpose of the Extension is to allow users to:

• Record user-initiated browser network activity
• Export that activity as HAR (HTTP Archive) files
• Optionally upload those HAR files to the LoadMagic.ai platform to automate performance testing workflows (e.g. JMeter, Locust)

The Extension does not perform general analytics, advertising, or background monitoring.

3 Data We Collect

The Extension only processes data explicitly initiated by the user.

a) Network request data (HAR)

When recording is started by the user, the Extension may capture:

• URLs, HTTP methods, headers, and timing data
• Request and response payloads
• Cookies and session identifiers only for the recorded session

This data is used solely to generate HAR files for performance testing.

b) Local extension settings

Stored locally in the browser:

• Extension preferences (e.g. API endpoint, project selection)
• Temporary session state during recording/export

4 Data We Do Not Collect

The Extension does not:

• Monitor browsing activity outside user-initiated recordings
• Read page content or form fields
• Track users across websites
• Perform advertising, profiling, or fingerprinting
• Sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes

5 How Data Is Used

Captured data is used only to:

• Generate HAR files
• Enable export or upload to the LoadMagic.ai platform at the user's request
• Support performance testing automation workflows

Data is not used for any unrelated purpose.

6 Data Sharing and Transmission

• HAR files are uploaded only when explicitly triggered by the user
• Data is transmitted securely over HTTPS
• Data is sent only to LoadMagic.ai infrastructure controlled by Load Magic LTD
• No third-party analytics or tracking services are used by the Extension

7 Data Retention

• Locally stored extension settings remain until cleared by the user or the extension is removed
• Uploaded HAR files are subject to the LoadMagic.ai platform's retention policies, which are documented separately
• Users remain responsible for ensuring no sensitive production data is recorded unintentionally

8 Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transfers
• Restricted access to backend systems
• No execution of untrusted or third-party remote code within the extension

9 User Control

Users can:

• Start and stop recordings at any time
• Review data before export or upload
• Remove the Extension to delete all locally stored data

10 Legal Basis (EU / UK GDPR)

Processing is based on:

• User consent – explicit initiation of recording and upload
• Legitimate interest – in providing performance testing automation services
